Five years after the Clark Interstellar Comet struck Earth and destroyed most of civilization, the planet’s atmosphere has completely deteriorated. Now sudden electromagnetic storms occur. Radioactive fallout still persists. Earthquakes also continue due to the impact. The Garrity family has been surviving in an underground bunker in Greenland since the disaster. Allison is now the leader, and John is a scout and engineer who maintains the community, and their son Nathan has grown up a bit and also wants to become a scout.
A scout is someone who collects information about an area, place, or situation so that further planning can be done. Meanwhile, John goes outside the bunker in search of supplies and sees three lifeboats and an abandoned ship on the seashore that had been brought there by the storm. John goes inside the ship to find some supplies, where he finds many dead soldiers. This means it must have been a Navy or Coast Guard ship.
John was searching for necessary items when he was told on the radio that a huge storm was approaching him. John leaves the foreign ship and gets back inside the bunker before the storm hits, where he is decontaminated to remove radioactive material. On the other hand, we see Allison, who was discussing in a meeting with higher authorities that there must be some place that is habitable amidst this devastation. We can’t stay in this bunker forever because eventually, the food and water will run out.

According to Alison, life must be thriving where the Clark Comet struck. Meanwhile, we see John, who is coughing continuously due to radiation exposure. He goes to the doctor for a check-up, where the doctor advises him that going outside like this is not good for his health and he needs to reduce his exposure. These people are going through a lot of difficulties and are simply trying to survive in the life they’ve been given. After some time, they learn that soldiers are bringing some survivors towards the bunker.
However, the authorities at the bunker say they cannot let the survivors in; there is absolutely no room for more people. But Alison disagrees. She says they must save as many people as possible. They can’t leave anyone to die outside in the radiation. Suddenly, a violent earthquake strikes. The entire bunker begins to shake. Everyone rushes out of the bunker as quickly as possible to save their lives. The bunker door had opened, and to prevent radiation from entering, everyone puts on safety masks before exiting.
In an instant, the entire bunker collapses into the ground. To escape the radiation, everyone heads towards the sea, where lifeboats are available. Here, everyone is fighting each other to save their lives. John quickly gets his family and a few others into a lifeboat. But the lifeboat wasn’t big enough for everyone. People were going crazy trying to survive, so they had to leave in the boat. Just then, a massive wave comes and wipes out all the remaining people. John’s lifeboat is also hit by the wave, but it doesn’t seem to affect the boat. In the vast ocean, they don’t know which way to go.

Alison suggests they head towards England. Perhaps someone has survived there. Late at night, Nathan looks up at the sky and sees that some asteroids are still heading towards Earth. The sight was as terrifying as it was beautiful. For the next few days, they remained at sea because their fuel had run out, and they were now drifting along with the waves and wind. When John looked out of the boat two days later, he was shocked to find themselves in London, which was completely submerged underwater. They spotted land a short distance away, so they all got out of the boat and went in search of food and water.
It was then that they realized there were other people there. They hoped they would find help. So they moved forward and soon saw a bunker with many people protesting outside, trying to get in. John and his family approached the military personnel, where Allison showed them her ID. However, since only Allison had an ID, only she was allowed inside, not John or Nathan. Meanwhile, the crowd was becoming uncontrollable. A soldier fired a shot at a man in the crowd, causing chaos everywhere. They had a doctor with them named Dr. Amina, and they continued on foot.
After walking for some distance, they came to a building where Alison’s aunt lived. Alison’s aunt was very happy to see them. She welcomed them all inside and explained that only elderly people lived there, but they could stay there. She assured them they wouldn’t have any trouble. As night fell, screams and gunshots echoed outside. Alison’s aunt explained that London was no longer the same. People were now looting houses just to survive. Late at night, when everyone was asleep, Alison heard John’s voice and went to him. She saw that John was in a terrible state, especially his face. He was even bleeding from his mouth. John told Alison that he had radiation particles inside him and didn’t know how long he would live, but he would definitely get them to a safe place. Hearing this, Alison broke down and cried. The next morning, the Garrity family set off on their journey, heading towards the place where the Clark comet had crashed. Before leaving, Alison’s aunt gave John a gun for safety. After that, the four of them left in a car. They had a long journey of many miles ahead of them. During the journey, some thugs fired at their car. In return, John fired back and saved his family. But they saw that Dr. Amina had been killed by a gunshot.
The Garrity family respectfully buried Dr. Amina there and continued on their journey. As they moved forward, John and the others could gauge the extent of the devastation; there was no water, and no people as far as the eye could see. John drove his car through a dried-up lakebed. Further ahead, they saw only some abandoned cars and a long road. At this moment, they had only two things left to help them survive. There was this car and a relentless determination to move forward. This determination led them to a place where a very large and deep crack had formed in the ground due to an earthquake.
But they had to reach their destination somehow, even if it meant crossing this chasm. People had built a temporary bridge there so that people could cross back and forth. John, with his family, bravely starts crossing the bridge. But then another earthquake strikes. [Music] This weakens the bridge’s structure, and many people fall hundreds of feet into the deep crack and are killed. John and his family somehow manage to reach the other side. But even they were terrified for a moment after witnessing such a horrific sight. The problem now was that their car was left behind. This meant they would have to continue on foot. But the journey was still very long and even more dangerous, because now they had no other means of protection. As they walk on, they see a man who stops them, holding a shotgun.
The man introduces himself as Dennis and asks them where they are going. John tells him that they are going towards the crater region where the Clark Comet had fallen, because they believe life might still be able to thrive there. After this, Dennis takes them to his house, where he lives with his family. His wife, Julia, and his daughter, Camille, were also paralyzed due to radiation exposure, and Julia couldn’t speak. A little later, at the dinner table, while everyone was eating, Dennis tells John that the place they are going to is currently a war zone. If they go there, they will be killed. But John had to get his family there safely somehow.
Dennis tells them that they have a long journey ahead, so they should rest there for the night. So they spend the night at Dennis’s house. The next morning, Dennis shows John a map and points out the place where the Clark Comet had fallen. But before you can get there, you might have to go through the war that’s happening there, because that’s the only way to get there. It’s also possible you might get killed. But there’s a commander fighting in that army who is my friend. Show him this photo of the two of us. That way he’ll understand that I sent you. Meanwhile, Dennis tells John something else: that for reproduction, he’ll need someone else.

Then Camilly steps forward and speaks to the soldiers, telling them that they need to see the commander. After this, the soldiers take them to their base camp. There, they talk to a man. John shows a soldier the photo given to him by Dennis and says that they need to meet this commander. The person who gave them the photo is a friend of this commander, and he can help them get to the crater. After hearing all this, the soldier tells John that his commander is long gone…A storm was also approaching rapidly. The Garrity family asked a man for a ride to escape the approaching storm. The man agreed and drove them to a safer place away from the destruction. There, John saw three meteoroids hurtling towards them from the sky. He told everyone to quickly grab onto the trees. The Garrity family survived the falling meteoroids, but the man who gave them a ride was killed. A girl who had also survived the disaster joined the Garrity family.
